I have been following the campaign since the beginning of October when I first saw the teaser site. It had the car in a shroud and a ‘Hey India What’s on?’ promo, calling users to upload pictures of what is making headlines in India. Daily gratifications for the most ‘liked’ images being Galaxy tabs and Ipods. I really had high hopes at that point.
The promo is still on, post launch and I did not understand the connection it has with the Car. The site also had (and still has) a Media preview listing.
The launch on 13th October was covered by a live webcast. The streaming quality was good and was executed by Virtual Studio
The site post launch hasn’t changed much, except that you can click to unveil the Eon. No details, no specifications and no other additions – at least as of today.
The Hyundai logo on the site clicks to an error page.
I checked the Hyundai India site and it does have all the information a car buyer would look for.
Why would you have two different destinations that are not linked to each other? As a potential car buyer, I would prefer to visit the Hyundai India site rather than the promo site.
