On Facebook: Dabur Asli Amla and Gulabari

Turns out that the Dabur Vatika Brand page isn’t the only Facebook presence Dabur has. They have created platforms for Gulabari and Asli Amla as well.

Dabur is looking for the 'Asli Amla Star' and is leveraging their Facebook Brand Page as the online extension for their on-ground activations. The shortlisted entries for the 13 city contest have been uploaded on Facebook and users need to vote for their favorite. Users can also upload pictures with their lustrous hair on the contest page and invite their friends to vote for them. The Online Star can walk away with a Tanishq voucher!

There is an Asli Amla Moment Contest as well which is open for the 1000 odd Facebook Fans where they can upload special moments of their lives in copy or pictures on the Dabur Amla wall and stand a chance to win goodies.

The Dabur Gulabari Brand page wall has some contextual posts around skincare and is essentially promoting their association with Pantaloons Femina Miss India as this year they have a Miss Rose Glow category at the event. Users can upload their pictures, get others to vote for them and walk away with hampers.

In effect, these are similar promos in ideation and execution.

It is now imperative to promote and share the available digital assets with users. Dabur can also look at pushing weblinks across other media in addition to digital promotion.

Growing the fan base and reaching the right audience is important for contests and engagement tactics to bear real results. Scaling up the executions a notch won’t hurt either.
