Campaign Watch: Fiama Di Wills Fab Hair Gallery
ITC’s
premium personal care brand, Fiama Di Wills, hosted ‘The Fabulous Hair Show’ at
ITC Maurya, New Delhi in association with Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan, to
promote its latest range of hair-care products. The unique event brought together Delhi’s
swish set and gave a few demi-celebrities like Ranna Gill, Ambika Anand, Vidushi
Mehra, a hair makeover, unveiling 6 new hair styles for this season. Celebrity
hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani was behind the looks.
The event coverage is now being smartly leveraged across Fiama Di Wills’ social media properties. Makes complete sense as most of this is professionally created exclusive content that fans would like to see.
Facebook carries photos from the ramp show and well edited videos that cover the event red carpet, attendee bytes, backstage action and ramp show. Wall posts include images of the new hair styles, hair care tips, what to eat etc. Fiama Di Wills is using this content across its social media vehicles including Twitter, Youtube and Pinterest.
Rich Media placements are also being used to drive users to the Facebook page.
I feel brands should do this more often as digital can easily feed-off interesting on-ground events involving celebrities or great concepts and provide the media back-up. It also gives brands the flexibility of covering events in varied formats like live webcasts, galleries, videos, copy and make it available on-demand and shareable.
