Social Media Collabs for the Win: Urban Company

Not all celebrity social media collaborations are made equal. There are a few that stand out for the right reasons. Like the Urban Company social media posts - primarily since the celebrity and the brand thematic worked well together. Relevance and fit are often overlooked when deciding collaborations because brands usually go for popularity/ social media following which is often counter-productive.

Urban Company posts by Sania Mirza and Faye D’Souza were meaningful and hit home because the celebrities added their own personal stories and thoughts on changing the narrative around women’s success. This made the concept resonate more.

I also loved Urban Company’s well executed short film Chhoti Soch - Watch Here - which talks about how all work is worthy of dignity and women’s professional success needs to be celebrated, not judged. Powerful messaging.
