CADBURY DAIRY MILK celebrates the beginning of new friendships with latest campaign

The new integrated marketing campaign from Cadbury Dairy Milk, celebrates the beginning of new friendships with its latest TVC, ‘nayi dosti ka shubh aarambh’.

Cadbury Dairy Milk campaigns are known for their celebration of relationships and new beginnings and the new commercial showcases the first few moments of a budding friendship between a young girl and boy on the side-lines of a wedding. The campaign is well timed as Friendship Day is around the corner (on August 5th) and this is the time when youngsters are back in college and making new friends.

Cadbury released the TVC on Youtube and Facebook on July 13, a good week before it hit TV screens on July 21, 2012. That would be a first for the brand!

The Youtube video already has upwards of 820k views and the one on Facebook has more than 11k likes.


The concept of the commercial is fresh, relatable and topical. I especially like the background score which doesn’t overpower and flows with the story.



The Facebook Brand Page is now approaching a million followers and this campaign would be the perfect opportunity to spruce up the content on posts, revamp the timeline, add a new cover photo and introduce engagement driven executions.
