Mahindra Scorpio’s Decade Of Dominance Promo Page is a Perfect 10
Scorpio
turned 10 in June 2012 and M&M created an online promo around their ‘Decade
of Dominance’ campaign. This post has been long overdue but this is a clear example
of a short term promo that was well put together so I had to do it, sooner or
later.
The contest, in essence, was simple. It set out to get Scorpio fans to send their wishes and gratify the best entries. What made it stand out was the execution which leveraged the promo site and Scorpio’s Facebook Brand Page with an existing fan base of 1.3million.
To participate, fans could either call a toll free number and leave an audio message or simply type it out on the site. Pictures could be shared on an application that was created on Mahindra Scorpio’s Facebook Brand Page.
The promo one-pager brought together fan wishes and brand assets like videos, wallpapers, print ads and contest information in one seamless design. All wishes were identified by names of people who shared them. Mouse hover on the names indicates if it is an audio or text message. On click you get to see/ hear the message. The compact, simple layout and navigation is very efficient and does its job.
